ARGOS Software

The ARGOS software is developed in-house to ensure full flexibility in data evaluation and reporting. Simple measurement recipes allow you to start the inspection at the touch of a button. You receive clear pass/fail results and can go deeper into the evaluation with individual inspection reports. Detailed results are available via an interactive interface and can be saved in PDF format. We also offer customized software solutions for more complex inspection cases.

Powerful software

User-friendly measurement recipes

Measurement recipes define the surface geometry, inspection area, and inspection criteria, allowing inspections to be started with a single click. Recipes can be easily adapted for different parts and requirements. For more demanding geometries, such as polygonal contours or free-form surfaces, we can also support you with customized measurement recipes.

Interactive results and reporting

Review inspection results at a glance or explore them in detail with the interactive ARGOS Viewer. Clear pass/fail results and a defect map provide an immediate overview, while high-resolution defect images and a stitched image of the complete surface enable detailed analysis. Results can be exported as PDF reports, machine-readable data, or high-resolution stitched images for documentation and further processing.

Custom software development

Because ARGOS software is developed in-house, it can be customized for specialized inspection requirements. With our expertise in AI and automated defect detection, we can train neural networks to identify application-specific defects using data from your manufacturing process. Customized models can also detect defects on surfaces with features such as diffractive structures, reticles, or embedded electronics.

ARGOS Family of Inspection Solutions

ARGOS nexus

ARGOS nexus provides automated scratch/dig inspection for flat and curved optical components, from batch inspection of multiple small parts to individual large optics. Dimensional ISO 10110-7 inspection, visibility-based MIL-PRF-13830B inspection of flat surfaces, automated reporting, and flexible bright and dark field imaging make ARGOS nexus a versatile platform for objective surface quality control.

ARGOS nexus pro

ARGOS nexus pro extends automated scratch/dig inspection to steep, highly curved optical surfaces. Coordinated positioning enables inspection of surface slopes up to 70°, while advanced illumination and imaging extend both dimensional and visibility-based inspection to curved surfaces. ARGOS nexus pro combines these capabilities with automated batch inspection and traceable surface quality results.

ARGOS Accessories

ARGOS is able to fulfill a wide range of inspection tasks. We offer customized tray mounts specifically designed to hold your optical elements, as well as self-centering mounts for individual optical elements. This allows a high degree of flexibility in meeting your inspection requirements. Our calibration samples enable remote calibration of ARGOS systems to keep your ARGOS running smoothly for years after purchase.
