Bi-Telecentric Industrial Lenses

Telecentric lenses are the optimal choice for image processing solutions in industrial environments, where precise measurement of components is essential. Our bi-telecentric lens designs can be be quickly and flexibly adapted or extended to meet specific customer requirements.

Features and Benefits

Special Imaging Properties

Telecentric lenses offer special imaging properties that provide numerous advantages for measuring tasks. Furthermore, our bi-telecentric lens series is also telecentric on the image side, which further enhances the imaging quality.

Low Distortion and Telecentric Error

DIOPTIC’s bi-telecentric lenses are distinguished by low distortion and a notably small telecentric error. The angle of view is perpendicular to the imaging plane across the entire field of view. This eliminates the need for further calibration, allowing precise measurement and characterization of test objects.

Modular Design

Our bi-telecentric lens series is designed to be flexibly expanded to meet specific customer requirements thanks to its modular design. This allows us to rapidly and efficiently develop the optimal lens for your specific application.

Wide Range of Applications

Magnification independent of working distance

Image with telecentric (left) and entocentric (right) lens. The magnification is always the same, regardless of the distance at which an object is located within the focal range. This allows the size of an object to be determined without further information on the object distance.

Telecentricity on Profile

Image with telecentric (left) and entocentric (right) lens. The angle of view of a telecentric lens is perpendicular to the imaging plane over the entire image field. Surfaces and edges perpendicular to the imaging plane are therefore not imaged. This is particularly advantageous when measuring tall components and long profiles.
