Infrared Lenses
For almost a decade, we have been developing and manufacturing special lenses for all infrared ranges. Our product range includes fixed focal length lenses, endoscopes, and infrared microscope lenses that meet the highest requirements in passive and active thermography.
Features and Benefits
Microscope Lenses for Cooled Infrared Sensors
Cameras with actively cooled sensors in the MWIR spectral range (3-5.5 µm) are commonly used for the quality inspection of conductor tracks or chips in the semiconductor industry. Our thermographic microscope lenses are designed for optimal use with cooled VGA sensors, such as those offered by SCD or Lynred. These sensors feature a fixed aperture that is cooled with the sensor, resulting in particularly low intrinsic emission.
High Transmission and Large Magnification Range
Thermographic microscope lenses are designed to detect heat distributions with micrometer resolution and measure the smallest temperature changes. Our DIOPTIC objective series is currently comprised of five microscopes that cover a magnification range from 0.25x to 10x, allowing thermography of even the smallest structures. The lenses are coated to allow for an overall transmission of infrared microscope objectives of over 70%.
IR Lenses for Demanding Applications
Our expertise lies in MWIR optics for cooled pixel detectors (focal plane arrays, FPAs), which present unique optical challenges. For higher magnifications, we utilize specially adapted gold mirrors that minimize the thermal stray light from the lens, thereby maximizing the achievable contrast. We are also able to develop custom infrared optics or integrated optical assemblies and systems for our clients.
Convincing to Use
Our infrared lenses can be used for applications ranging from defect detection in microelectronics and non-contact temperature measurement to quality assurance in industrial measurement technology and security and monitoring systems.
