Customized infrared optics for a broad range of applications
Depending on the available detectors or sensors and the imaged object, different optics are necessary for an application. DIOPTIC develops and produces lenses for every part of the infrared radiation spectrum:
- SWIR (short-wave infrared) between approx. 1.4 µm and 3 µm wavelength
- MWIR (mid-wave infrared) between approx. 3 µm and 8 µm wavelength
- LWIR (long-wave infrared) between approx. 8 µm and 15 µm wavelength
We specialize in particular on MWIR optics for cooled pixel detectors (FPAs), which pose unique requirements for the optics.
Applications for infrared optics
Infrared optics are used in many different ways. Typical applications for our lenses are:
- Recognition of defects in microelectronics and in material processing, mainly in combination with lock-in procedures or active thermography
- Contactless temperature measurement with highest geometric and thermal resolution
- Process monitoring in industrial companies and energy producers, such as boiler inspection or combustion chamber monitoring
- Industrial instrumentation for quality assurance
- Hyper-spectral imaging for the remote identification of chemical materials, for example in environmental research and agriculture
- Security and surveillance systems
Every one of our lenses is specifically designed for your application. We would be pleased to discuss your application and the different possibilities with you.
